How bills are calculated
Your electricity bill contains important information to help you understand the value of what you are paying for each month. We’ve outlined the charges that make up your bill.


Grenlec Sample Bill


1. Non-Fuel Charge
Grenlec cost to deliver electricity to your home.
(Rate multiplied by number of units used.)
 

2. Fuel Charge
Cost of fuel used to generate electricity.
(Rate multiplied by number of units used.)
 

3. Total of Non-Fuel and Fuel Charges
The 30% COVID-19 Relief Discount is applied to this total of bill issued in the previous month. This discount is for April, May and June, but shown on bills issued in May, June and July.4. 30% Discount
Grenlec’s discount shown as ADJUSTMENTS, while Government’s discount shown as COVGOVT DISC.

 

5. Environmental Levy
Collected on behalf of the Grenada Solid Waste Mgmt. Authority.
– 99-149 kWh→$5
– 150+kWh→$10
 

6. VAT (Value Added Tax)
15% applied to non-fuel charge, above 99 units.  

7. Customers Should Pay by the Due Date
Total Amount Due.
